DAKILA has partnered with SULONG CARHRIHL, a non-government organization, working for the sustenance of the peace process in the Philippines for the advocacy on peace and human rights. The Peacetahan 2008: Galing at Sining Para sa Karapatan at Kalinaw is a nationwide competition on music video making, infomercials and poster design. The competition is aimed to promote peace directed principally on human rights, international humanitarian law, and CARHRIHL among the youth by providing channel through which they may be able to express their thoughts and ideas regarding peace and conflict issues. At the same time, the project aims to encourage youth involvement and participation in peace building and the formation of youth advocates. Peacetahan sa Penguin, Cebu and Mag:net served as the initial launching of the competition. The events featured performances from bands and musicians, short messages of peace from youth advocates and film showing of RIGHTS.
