PALAWAN: VOICES FROM THE LOST FRONTIER by Dr. Dario Novellino

In March 2006, former Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo called for a nationwide revitalization of mining. Yet as Voices from the Lost Frontier shows, the pristine forests are already being torn apart; local fish stocks and water supplies are being poisoned; and productive farmlands are being covered in chemicals that destroy the rice crops. This documentary is a joint effort of indigenous communities, farmers, local NGOs and international institutions in their bid to save Palawan.
