PISAY by Auraeus Solito

Pisay follows the lives of eight students who make it to the premier science high school in the Philippines during the politically volatile 80’s. These students find the world outside – the chaotic Marcos dictatorship culminating into the 1986 People Power revolution – being replicated within the school as they contend with teachers, classmates, family, school officials, and a new classification system segregating students into two academic-ranked groups. The film chronicles their journey of self-discovery as they go through adolescence.
